Cork is a material that comes from the bark of a particular type of oak tree, Quercus Suber, an evergreen tree native to southwestern Europe and northwestern Africa. It grows spontaneously in areas with little water and a warm climate.

Cork oak forests regulate the hydrological cycle, protecting the soil from erosion and storing large amounts of carbon dioxide. Cork oak trees absorb CO2 three to five times more than other plants, thanks to the extraction of the bark, which stimulates the growth of a new protective layer.

All cork produced can become new raw material in a virtuous process of Circular Economy. At the end of its use, it can be 100% reused and employed in endless applications.
